I recently tried adept charge blade again.

I'm starting to think I could enjoy it. Still need more practice, though.

Feeling burnt out on GU

ok so I’m on G3 right now trying to make a new armor set and grinding is starting to both feel samey and infuriating. problem is that I’m dealing with Barioth to make a couple armor pieces to mix with Glav (I’m doing Narga and Glav for gunner). same issues as Narga but now with a janky ass hip check and an even harder to dodge moveset with an Invading Khezu to boot as if Barioth wasn’t bad enough! I swear this game feels like it’s trying it’s damn hardest to make me quit and never look back

Valor Bonk Hammer builds

Decided to try out hammer for fun after Swax'ing my way through the endgame. Guild is the classic hammer but valor is more fun, feels like GS with all that charge attack spams.

my current Hammer set I use is with Bone crusher with the standard Jhoceana set but having only 60% crit is kinda depressing (can get 70% but too lazy to farm Hayabusa feather) but I found this build with dragon heart + resuscitate combo after trying to figure out how to make narga weapons work.

95% crit with 385 raw (if my math is correct) seems really damn bonkers. Or should I downgrade with the raw with Gore hammer but a more consistent crit, Thoughts?

A little skill and a lot of luck gave me a cool moment.

No evasion skills, so I was sure I was getting beamed, but I guess I had just enough i-frames.

PURE RAW TIGREX HAMMER OR CRIT ONE?

As the title says, is Tigrex Hammer built for pure raw damage good? I'm using Brachydium set for it and stuffed with attack jewels and thinking, is it good?

I don't really use hammer and I just wanna see big numbers especially when Challenger 2 and Adrenaline 2 kicked in.

Bow Help

Hi hi, I've started playing MHGU recently and picked up the bow. Ive been seeing that its really good, yet despite following a bunch of guides it still seems like hitting with a wet noodle. I'm not sure if it is a skill issue or a different mistake, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am able to hit critical distance about 75% of the time, and weak points pretty consistently.

I'm at Hub 3 Star, but haven't been able to complete any of the hunting quests.

Please help I'm really scared of uragaan.

Opinion on weapons

I am currently on a big monster hunter mood, and wanted to try out a more "old school" game, after my only non-story game being Rise (haven't finished that yet lmao)

Anyway, usually I play with the bow, but it hasn't clicked for me in this game, and I kinda wanna do something different. Played around a bit with a few weapons and found a few that seem interesting but I can't quite get fully into it with any of them. Plus, with the many styles, it gets a bit overwhelming.

So I just wanted to ask what are you guys favorite weapons and if you have any advice for a new player. Mostly so I can hear what other people like about the weapons and how they play into the later game.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Different set

Hi, today i'm gonna show y’all a different set which opposite the one everyone use for this weapon.

Most hunter would use handicraft and sharpness for this LongSword right? Well I thought of making use of that quote on quote bad sharpness durability this weapon has with a quite forgeted skill but amazing one. I present to you Bludgeoner 🗣. What the effect of the skill you ask me? Well every time you lose sharpness you get a damage boost on your weapon. You see where i'm going?👀 This weapon sharpness is so low that you can lose 5 lvl in 1 or 2 minutes of continuous attack.

"But the lower the sharpness the more the chance of my weapon bouncing of the monster" that where the skill "Fencing/Mind’s Eye" come in clutch.

Anyway it mostly an armor set that i wanted to make for a lot of longsword i liked but could really use becuz of bad sharpness that handicraft couldn't help or would make me remove a good or essential skill for.

What do y’all think about it? 🙂

Some fanart of 3 of my most memorable quests I've done

  1. Sky Render (Valstrax being peak as always)

  2. The Big Push (My first G-Rank Hyper Monster I've grinded for Potent Hyper Extract, as well as Moonbreaker 3)

  3. Bloodbath G1 (I took it down yesterday, and it is genuinely a terrifying yet fun fight)

What do you guys think?

Long shot

I am looking for friends to hunt with. Currently HR 7 online. I have been mostly helping others rank up. My armor and weapons need major revamping due to random questing. I'd love to farm monsters with people. Do 3-5 runs then switch up ya know? Currently trying to make full pickle Rick set lol. I live in the USA and play mostly between 10am-noon, and after 6pm. (10:00-12:00, and after 14:00) GMT-5. If you'd like a reliable hunter and some alternating farming... let's GOOOOOO! Leave a comment so we can add each other and put the fear of us in MHGU. (I have switch 2)

Playing with one hand tied behind my back has brought back that spark. Anything else you folks think can help with burnout?

I have been playing Monster Hunter since 3 Ultimate in 2013. I have either hundreds or thousands of hours played in every main game release in North America excluding the PS2 original.

The point is I think I'm finally feeling burnt out after all these years... But then I remembered all the shenanigans and fun I had when I did one handed Zelda runs and decided I'd hop on Generations Ultimate - my favorite MonHun - and give it a go.

The first thing I noticed when using my right hand alone is that I have trouble pressing the face buttons with my little finger (using a pro controller). Upon switching to my left hand (my dominant hand) I find it difficult to use the D-pad effectively but luckily you can use the right stick for most of the menus instead. Maybe a different control scheme would help?

Anyway I'm just getting that hang of playing one handed and it hit me: maybe there's like minded folks on Reddit that would join in the challenge with me? And if not then no harm done making a silly post right?

So if you have any suggestions on how you kill your burnout or just want someone to talk to about MonHun or chat and play weird challenges hit me up.
