my bf (17m) and i (18f) have been dating for almost a year and i cant stand his mom. i met his mom the first time him and i hung out and she barely spoke to me or even acknowledged me. you think now that we've been together for longer as she would, but she doesn't. She doesn't even say hi my boyfriend has to tell her to say hi at least 15 times before she even says hi to me she is incredibly rude to my boyfriend and incredibly controlling. she says she doesnt love him if he does something she doesnt like (like stay at my house for an extra 10 minutes.) she is just so controlling for example, today's my birthday and I'm having a birthday dinner tonight. My boyfriend hasn't really been feeling good so I said well maybe you should just stay home from school today and get some rest, but she told him if he doesn't go to school he can't see me at all so I texted her basically begging her to let him go and she just said well then tell him to go to school and I said well I think maybe he needs rest more than to go to school and she went to the extreme and said fine I'll take him to the hospital and I said well I don't think he needs to go to the hospital. I think he just needs to rest for a few hours but she didnt respond so now I have to make a tough decision here because I want him at my birthday dinner, but I also want him to feel better and he will feel incredibly bad if he doesn't go to my birthday dinner she just makes things incredibly difficult for no reason he threw up twice at school yesterday and she still didn't let him stay home. I just don't know what to do because I love my boyfriend so much and we have such a good relationship, but she makes it so difficult to be in this relationship with him. When he sees me he has a very early curfew and it's only when he sees me. It's not when he does anything else and I think she definitely doesn't like me for some reason. She didn't even wish me happy birthday today she didn't give me anything for Christmas when I got her stuff for her birthday and Christmas even though i dont have a job. I just can't stand her and I just don't really know what to do. Today is supposed to be a happy day and supposed to be fun and she kind of just made it so it's neither.
