Nardil and fatigue

Hi everyone. I’m likely going to start taking Nardil soon, as my psychiatrist is willing to give it a try (though there is some red tape involved in importing it as a foreign medication). I suffer from quite severe chronic anxiety and a form of dysthymia accompanied by apathy. I’ve also been diagnosed with ADHD, though I’m not sure if my cognitive dysfunction stems from the ADHD or is more a result of the severe anxiety.

In any case, I have a couple of questions about Nardil. The first is whether fatigue is a constant side effect or if it only affects some people. I have a demanding job and two young children. I think Nardil could really help me, as I struggle a lot at work, and with my kids, I’m even afraid to go to the park or the pool; however, I’m worried about being so tired that I wouldn't be able to do those things.

Another concern—which I haven't even discussed with my psychiatrist yet—is the issue of methylphenidate. I currently take a high dose (80 mg/day of a modified-release formulation, split into two doses), and it helps me a great deal with cognitive function. Although, theoretically, the two can be combined, I’m not sure if I should lower the dosage before starting Nardil.

Of course, I’ll discuss this at my next appointment, but I’d appreciate it if anyone with experience in this area could share their insights.
