What should a pre-first year do with the 2-3 months of free time?
Hey Seniors,
Now that all my JEE and other competitive exams are finally are over, I have alot of free time before the college starts. Other than gaming and binge watching, I would also like to utilize a part of my day to learn something useful.
I'm likely to join a tech related branch (CSE/ECE/IT...) in T1-T2.
- I want to ask you guys: What skills or Technologies should i explore during this phase?
- Should I start learning a programming language like C++,Java or Python?
- Should I focus on something practical like Git/Github or Web dev?
- Are there any foundational certifications worth doing right now that actually hold value on resume later?
- I did a bit of research and saw names like Harvard's CS50x, Striver (takeUforward), Code With Harry, Chai aur Code, and freeCodeCamp being thrown around. For a absolute beginner, which of these (or any other) would you recommend to start with?
- Any tech related stuff that i should explore?
If you were in my place right now, What are the things that you wish you should've learned before stepping into the college?
Any certificate recommendations, roadmaps, playlists about the tech/programming, or even general advice would highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance!!
