26 years old, new to the market looking for some advice
Hello, thanks for taking the time to read, I'm 26 working part time just finishing up school and am a bit late to the game. I'm completely new to stocks and the market, my goal is to hopefully be able to ride the market using DCA every paycheck allocating 100 dollars each week to be able to help pay for a down payment on a house in 7-10 years and use a roth IRA for retirement. doing some research I've heard and read all I would really need for my goal is VOO and maybe a bit of diversification with something like VXUS, while QQQ is more for aggressive traders and is more volatile with more risk and overlap. Am I on the right track or speaking a different language? would something like SCHD be helpful? and what are your thoughts on VTI vs VOO? thank you for any replies! any advice or criticism would be appreciated!
