Reset Ground Station S11HBI
Trying to factory reset / access MR-S11HBI handheld ground station via USB
I recently got hold of an MR-S11HBI handheld ground station (drone controller/ground station). Model label says:
Ground Station
Model: S11HBI (2.4G)
Date: 06/2021
I found the datasheet which mentions the Micro-USB port is used for “debugging and upgrading”.
Problem:
When I connect the Micro-USB port to my Windows laptop:
nothing appears in Device Manager
no unknown device
no COM port
adb devices shows nothing
Things I’ve tried:
multiple USB ports
controller powered on before connecting
different boot attempts
checking Device Manager refresh
ADB installed
Questions:
Is this actually Android-based internally?
Does the USB port only activate in recovery/bootloader mode?
Is there a hidden key combo for factory reset or firmware mode?
Does this require proprietary software/drivers?
Has anyone managed to access serial/UART/debug console on one of these?
Datasheet mentions:
Micro USB for debugging/upgrading
WiFi AP
H.264/H.265 decoding
route planning and smart flight control
Would appreciate any info from someone who’s worked with these industrial drone ground stations. Feels like I’m trying to negotiate with a tiny military laptop from the future 😂
