-Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (EK2)
-Honor Cross 1914-1918 with swords (Ehrenkreuz / “Hindenburg Cross”)
-“Für Verdienst im Kriegervereinswesen” cross merit award for veterans association service (Kyffhäuserbund, Weimar era)
-Small unidentified cross, possibly a state veterans merit order — anyone recognize it?
-Miniature ribbon bar combining the ribbons of both upper crosses
Just wanted to share this relic-condition German M35 Stahlhelm. Despite the heavy pitting from being buried, the battle damage tells a brutal, firsthand story of its final moments.
The ballistics here are striking when you compare both sides.
Given the trajectory, this was undoubtedly a fatal hit.A sobering, heavy piece of combat history.
Can anyone give me some information about this WW1 coin/medal?
Is this an official military award, a commemorative table medal or a personalized tribute piece gifted to General Arbanère? Thanks
Based on the ribbon bar shown in the first image, do you believe this represents a single, continuous ribbon setup corresponding to a combination of an Iron Cross and a Hindenburg Cross (a double ribbon bar on a single backing), or do you view them as two entirely separate single ribbon bars mounted individually?
