Found some good deals (or maybye I overpaid, who knows) and finally got most of it in.
Wanted to share the goodies with fine folks here.
Small meaningless + if you identify everything 😄
Last picture is not bayonet related but it was part of the haul.
Will make one or 2 separate posts later.
Enjoy
Cheers

Please help me identify the markings on this M1 bayonet. I inherited from my grandfather. I was told it was issued to him while he was in the Marines in the 60s. Also is there anyway to look up the serial number to find out about when it was made?
It came with the 98/05, but it's definitely not the original one that went in, as it have cut through and pokes through the top when sheathed, I don't have a 98/02 or a 88/98 III, so I'm using a 71/84 bayonet, if I had to guess I would say it's probably a 98/02 bayonet sheath of some kind given the length and width.
Hello guys, I made a recent post before about IDing some bayonets. While those are on my list they are a bit expensive for me right now.
I found this Gras rifle bayonet, I'm not sure what year or what country it's from yet, I gotta see it in person. It's in aight condition and the spine seems to be intact, overall I'm pretty happy.
Hi all!
This bayonet belonged to my father in law, who sadly passed a few years ago.
He was in the British military (we live in Wales), he was stationed in Libya, Germany and Northern Ireland but fought in a few other places.
Google Lens seems to tell me from the full photo that it's a Japanese Type 30 bayonet, but the crest on the top of the blade would indicate it's a U.S. Model 1917 bayonet.
If anyone has any further information, that would be amazing 😁
Thanks in advance!
While cleaning out my late grandfather’s shed I found this bayonet. Could people give me a little more information about it. I found it to be a m1 bayonet made by PAL but the sheath looks not like the ones I found.
These were mounted on SMLE No.1 Mk III rifles and were used during WW1, the interwar period, and WW2 and were among the last of the "sword bayonets". This particular model was manufactured by Wilkinson in 1918 in Britain and the C-broad arrow marked on the pommel showing it was accepted for use by the Canadian army. The frog is also C-broad arrow marked.
I got this from a yard sale in Georgia for 2$
I was given this as a gift and was told it was WWII bayonet, but since there doesn’t appear to be any markings indicating manufacturers or anything like that and image search yields only fairly similar (specifically Japanese) bayonets I really can’t verify the origin. I also don’t know enough about weapons like this to know if it’s just old or just poorly cared for. Is it authentic, a commercial reproduction, or maybe something someone made just because they thought bayonets were cool? I’d love any insight y’all have.
This came in today, and it is beautiful for its age, I’m not 100% sure when it was made but I would assume some time between 1870-1890s. I could be wrong. It is a model 1871 Vetterli sword bayonet. Paired with is is my M70/87/15 Vetterli.
Hi guys,
Wanted to share this absolutely amazing piece of WW1 equipment i recently got in a small bayonet haul i might show later.
What you see is an Ersatz variant of the "standart" crude substitue bayonet for the regular 1895 bayonet.
This extremely cheap to manufacture bayonet was in use already in 1916, that is, I dare to say mindblowing, them.being produced relatively this early in war.
There are probably hundreds of small variations since thex could and been produced by various small shops across the empire since all they required was a drill, grinder and press. You can find them marked, unmarked, numbered, unnumbered, accepted or not.
This one has only number 2 on top. It is housed in a Ersatz type scabbard in a what I believe is, a repurposed old leather frog, Ersatz frogs made out of canvas also existed. This scabbard is marked with BB and eagle acceptance. BB is theorized to stand for brothers Bartl from Vejprty (bratři Bartlové, Vejprty) but we have no way of confirming that. And lastly there is a woolen portepee for NCOs one of 2 types. This is the simpler one. Unfortunately it is a really bad condition but still intact. Those portepees are incredibly hard to find so no complaints here. Now I should fond at least a belt for this if not the whole field NCO uniform to hang this on 🤣 but maybye I will get there someday.
Well hope you like this post, if you have any questions ask away, there is so much not only about ersatz 95s that would make this post overly long.
Cheers
I just learned about this today, it was a clue on Jeopardy!
Picked up this Naval Type 30 bayonet, I’m very happy to find one of these. Now I just need a naval type 99😂. Figured I’d share it with you guys!
Hello guys, I'm trying to hey my first bayonet and I'm constant with a seller. Is it possible for you guys to help me out with identifying some of these bayonets. I know they are a lot but it would be a huge help.
Thank you in advance.
I just got this K98 Bayonet, and i would be interested in any info about it! I know the bayonet itself is from 1936, nothing else. Its a mismatch, bayonet is serial 4591, s/239. The scabbard is serial 5803d, S/155k. On the scabbard you can see that it used to be in a frog, the scratches stop at some point and its just very clean, the bayonet itself the wooden handle has been scratched up (i think for grip) and the blade is in fairly good shape i think, im just looking to get any info on i. Its very pointy, it is starting to show rust any help on stopping that would be appreciated. The button for release works great, no problems there. If you need more pictures, feel free to ask!
