Do I pitch at my local comic con? If so who should I seek out?
hey, I’ve seen some really generous people on this page. Give really great practical advice so I figured I’d ask. I want to get into comics I’m a writer.
I’m going there specifically looking for an artist as well as there’s the head of my local Indie comic publisher that’s gonna be there and I wanted to pitch him.
i’m kind of conflicted cause I don’t know if that’s kind of like a jerk move. I don’t wanna ruffle any feathers. But I feel like I’ve done the work. I’ve got two stories in mind. They’re both six issue arcs they’re all plotted out. I’m gonna have the synopsis done as well as the first issue script done by time this comes.
so I have the work put in. It’s not like I’m going in there with just a dream. This is the East Coast comic con by the way. I would really appreciate any advice like I said the stories are great. I think I’ve got them basically plotted out only issue is I don’t have an artist, and I don’t really wanna be an artist. There’s a lot of great talent that’s doing art already. I would love to work with some of these guys. So just advice on if I’m looking for an artist where should I go?
Most importantly, how do I gauge if someone’s receptive or interested in my pitch? And also, how do I pitch?
