Hi, my brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia, he still doesn't have any insight, the physician told us to put Aripiprazole in his food, we've been doing that for 6 months now. Every month we call the physician online though an application and give him feedback. He is a little bit better after the medication, he is less agitated and less paranoid. But recently my parents found a job for him and he went for an interview but came back refusing the job saying he didn't like it. I told him if you want and are willing to work I will help you find a job he said to me "i will confess something to you and keep it between you and me, the world has changed because of me and I am currently speaking with the president, my phone is being monitored" I told him I am there for him whenever he needs anything. Anyways, he does not trust my parent and i think he confessed to me because he trusts me (his older sister), he acts and speaks normal to my parents, so we are not able to tell if he has delusions all the time or only this time he had an episode because the job thing. Will the delusions be gone eventually with the medication ? When is the right time to tell him about his illness? When will he have an insight? When should we be worried and admit him involuntarily to a hospital?

I am so sad, stressed and confused. I don't know when is the right time for him to know about his schizophrenia and I don't know how he will be able to take his medication by his own in the future. Can you tell me about your experience ?
