So I’ve been on meds for close to 10 months now and took all sorts of it - tried modafinil, methylphenidate (40mg SR, IR) etc but none of them seem to help me in any way. My psych told me, meds shouldn’t be the first line of treatment either as it’s behavioural changes et al that will make a big difference and I even asked him why does it work for some guys and not for me to which he said he hasn’t come across a patient so far in his career who took meds and got better, it has to be a mix of both.

Have you guys been in this situation before and how did you try to overcome it? I’m thinking of stopping methylphenidate altogether now since it only increases my heart rate and make me anxious for a while too!
