Would it be offensive or inappropriate for me to get Amazigh tattooing on my hands? I lived in North Africa for a long time and my Children are Amazigh, I am not though. Please let me know if this is disrespectful culturally. The women used to put the henna in the traditional patterns on my hands (a spike under my pointer finger and my middle finger and half circle under my ring finger and pinkie finger) but I’ve always admired the elderly women and their tattoos even though I know many say it is haram.
