If, like me, you’ve bought MSFS for the PS5, you’ve probably reached the point where you’re frustrated at not being able to join Vatsim. Simple flights can be a bit boring, as even on short-haul routes nothing much happens from take-off right up until the start of the descent.
In-game ATC only works if the flight plan has been sent to air traffic control via the EFB. However, as flight planning is done via Simbrief, importing it there is a bit of a faff (either via the website or manually).
I’ve found something really useful here: Once you’ve entered the Simbrief flight plan in the aircraft, you can select ‘Open’ in the EFB under ‘Route’ and then choose ‘Import from avionics’. It will then load the route from the aircraft and you can send it to ATC from there. Even though the in-game ATC often acts up, this makes the gaming experience on the console much more exciting than if there were two hours of silence during a two-hour flight.
I hope this helps some of you!
