First impression advice?

I’m 25f beginning my first full time job (as an IE) after my masters this Monday at Tesla Factory.

What are the things I should keep in mind or do to make a solid impression during my first day and first week.

I’m planning on the basics:
-wearing formals
-arriving before time
-greeting everybody at their desks maybe?
-should I try/ask for 1:1s?

Tesla has been my dream company and I want to be able to do my best.

Thank you in advance everybody 🙏🏼

Any engineering person who can teach me GD&T in 2 days?

I’m willing to pay a good amount for this! I really need this. I’m a grad, smart enough, but have very little time to learn the whole thing to the point of being able to apply datums, tolerances on a given part.

PLZ HELP: Which project should I use for Tesla panel interview presentation?

Hi all, I have an upcoming panel interview - for a full time Industrial Engineer role - with 4-5 engineers/managers soon.

I am SO CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT PROJECT TO USE for preparing the presentation.

Issue is - that I don’t have ANY complex enough good relevant project done.
My work ex includes just 1 year long quality engineering co-op at a big name manufacturing company but they didn’t give me substantial work throughout the effing co-op. So now basically I don’t have any good complex project that I can use for presentation.

I have 2 options:

1. Use my quality engineering project that I’m kind of confident about. But cons:
- It will NOT BE AS RELEVANT for this role (Major con)
- It was kind of simple.
- Not THAT complex so I’d be making some things up while creating the presentation even for this one.

2. MAKE UP an imaginary project and impact for a line that I’m kind of comfortable with at that previous big name company.
I have some great things to add in this one but cons - I am super super super scared of trying to fake a whole ff project and them interviewers kind of being able to gage that I didn’t actually do any of this. And I’m scared of the grilling on the project since I won’t be confident.
- I would need to go really deep to think of imaginary things to add and hence waste time from preparing for other technical concepts.

Please guide me through which one I should go with. I need someone to tell me that it’s okay to add the imaginary project or that someone has done it before (faking a whole new project) and gotten an offer. But I only want brutally honest advice.

Please also tell me if there is a new option three.

What should I do????

This has been my dream job and absolutelyy want the job offer no matter what.

Thank you in advance!
