I’ve been trying to catch up with the PS5 jailbreak scene but there’s so much outdated info, fake guides and conflicting posts that I honestly don’t know what’s real anymore.

Can someone give a clear current-state breakdown (2026)?

Which firmware versions are actually usable right now?

What’s considered the “best” firmware to be on?

What can you realistically do (PS4/PS5 backups, homebrew, Linux, etc)?

What tools are currently used (etaHEN, kstuff, itemzflow etc)?

How stable is it in practice (crashes, re-running exploit, etc)?

Are higher firmwares (7.xx–10.xx+) actually usable or just “on paper”?
