How to automatically set "open in new tab" in the post / page editors?

I want to automatically check the "Open in New Tab" box in the hyperlink popup. I should know how to do this. I don't.

I write a mess of prose on one of my web sites, and it includes hyperlinks to all sorts of things.

So when I'm writing a hyperlink ... I

  • select the text to hyperlink
  • press ctrl-k
  • paste in the URL
  • hit Enter
  • click the hyperlink
  • click the edit icon
  • scroll down
  • check [] Open in New Tab
  • click Apply.

There's gotta be a way to make this easier. Some super simple plugin?

Ideally I'd do the New Tab thing for external links and not for internal links.

Vetted list of fundraisers for firefighters injured at Searsmont fire?

Is there a vetted list of fundraisers ( Go Fund Me, others ) for firefighters who were hurt in the big fire?

It would be helpful to know which fundraiser operations are not scams, so our donations get used the way we intend them.

First warm day in Maine

Here's a pix taken from my bike at the top of Hatchet Mountain Road. Two cars passed by over half an hour.

Be excellent to each other. Ride on, dudes.

In this long article, an exercise cell biologist makes the argument that Zone 2 training doesn’t, by itself, contribute much to increasing our muscle capacity.

https://www.gethealthspan.com/research/article/zone-2-training-longevity-evidence

The specific point: our mitochondria, the parts of our muscle cells that convert nutrients (fat, sugar) into usable chemical energy for muscles (adenosine triphosphate, ATP) develop and adapt when we’re running up near VO2 Max, not when we’re running at zone 2.

High intensity interval training doesn’t seem to be as optional as we thought. 😟

I showed up for my volunteer shift at AIO this morning and found the shelves surprisingly bare. I heard we served 190 households yesterday, up from an average of 120 or so. !!!

Things are getting rough, what with high gas prices and all. if you can spare a few dollars our supplier, Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn, will put your donation to good use. https://www.gsfb.org/

We did restock at AIO, and have enough for the next few days. so don't hesitate to come in if you need food.
