Stuck around 650 subs for a month, how to keep growing?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for input on growth strategies to go from around 650 to 1,000 subscribers.

My channel had steady growth after one video went viral and a few related follow‑up videos did well, but lately I’ve been stagnating around 650 subs and growth has slowed down a lot. I’m trying to figure out what to adjust so I don’t just hover at this level forever.

Channel context:

Niche: Black American history during World War II

Content:

Uploaded archival WWII footage (as a public hub / reference)

Documentary‑style videos about Black American WWII heroes

I have hit the 4000 hours watchtime mark.

Upload schedule:

1 long‑form video per week

2 Shorts per week

For creators who have grown through this 600–1,000 range (especially in educational / history niches):

What helped you break out of this kind of slump?

Did you change thumbnails/titles, content format, topics, series structure, or something else?

Are there any specific things you’d test if you were in my shoes?

Happy to share my analytics screenshots or links if that makes feedback easier. Any specific, actionable tips are really appreciated!
