How to build a stash of pumped breast milk while exclusively breast feeding?

My baby is only 2 weeks old and exclusively breast feeding. He is a great eater! He eats every 1-3 hours typically. I would like to start building a little stash of pumped milk to have in the freezer for when I inevitably need to be away from him for some time, or have a drink on occasion this summer.

Is it best to pump right after feeding? Both breasts? Or should I feed him on one breast and pump the other? Is it okay to start at this time or should I wait until he’s a little older and feeding less frequently?

I have a good supply and don’t want to create an oversupply. He already surpassed his birth weight by almost an entire pound.

Last night my baby was just not having it in their bassinet/swaddle and wanted to co sleep. Husband and I just took turns awake with the baby to get some sleep but I haven’t had more than 3 hours a day since his birth.

I feel awful. We were on the couch laying semi upright/reclined. I fed and burped him on my chest and next thing I know it’s 2 hours later and we’ve both been out like a light. Obviously this is not safe sleeping and it felt completely out of my control. How are you guys avoiding accidental co-sleep? He’s so little so I know preference for contact sleep is normal but any tips and tricks to get him to sleep in his bassinet would be greatly appreciated.
