May scholarship po ba kayong alam for dependent/children of solo parent? I am an incoming 3rd Year po.
I read RA 11861 (Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act) and according sa friend ko hindi siya nakuha and sobrang hirap maqualify since under ito ng CHED. Her course is not related to science or math (ako rin) social studies siya sa UP.
Please give me an advice on how to apply for scholarships or any financial grant. My dad died recently po kasi and my mom is a housewife and a senior citizen. She can't work po and I want to help her kasi as a beneficiary, half na lang ng pension ni dad ang makukuha niya (under 120k annually) kasi nabaon kami sa utang ngayon dahil hindi namin expect na ganoon kalaki ang bills sa hospital and funeral. Half of it was from their savings kasi hindi sila nagapply for health insurance dahil parang minamanifest mo raw na may masamang mangyayari. Anyway, 2 lang kami magkapatid and ako po panganay. I have a job now (also finding another job this summer) but it is not enough kasi my sister is currently a nursing student. She has a scholarship sa UB pero need pa rin ng daily expenses. My parents was the one paying my tuition and our rent. Daily necessities lang ang nacocover ng job ko ngayon. I don't want to drop out now kasi I am 2 years away from graduating.
To sum up, what I need: (1) SCHOLARSHIP / FINANCIAL GRANT and (2) SUMMER JOB (JUNE-JULY ONLY).
PLEASE HELP THIS GIRLY OUT. I CANNOT SLEEP
