My induction date is May 10th and yesterday I woke up with a sore throat that was manageable so I chalked it up to allergies but then this morning I woke up feeling even worse so now I know I’ve caught something 😭 I know I’m going to eventually develop a cough as I’ve been coughing a little this morning but my question is for those who have gone into labor while sick with a cold/flu how was it??? Did it change any of the plans after baby was born and did the hospital not allow skin to skin? I’m a FTM so I’m not sure what to expect at all and now being sick right before I’m due is just the cherry on top. I doubt I’ll be contagious by the time I give birth but I’m sure I’ll have a lingering cough so I wasn’t sure if the hospital will make me wear a mask around baby or restrict visitors or not allow my husband in the room since I’ve been sick.
