At 24 weeks I did the glucose test and passed with a result of 5.7 mmol. Babies head and abdomen were measuring big from my anatomy scan at 20 weeks. Now I’m 35 weeks and I’ve been seeing a MFM doctor for her large size, also IVF pregnancy. She’s still measuring big, and actually is increasing in percentiles within the past 2 weeks. Specifically her abdominal circumference which is above 90% and her bitemporal width, but overall head circumference is normal. I now need to redo the GTT 3hr test and I’m completely dreading it. Has anyone else been in this position? Is it likely I have gestational diabetes? My husband was a big baby so I’m hoping it’s just that, but I’m really worried because she’s growing so fast.

I’m packing my hospital bag and I’m wondering if there’a anything specifically that they do not provide and I should bring. So far I have diapers, wipes, swaddles and burp cloths, diaper cream, pacifier. For myself I’m bringing disposal underwear, pads, adult diapers, peri bottle, toiletries.

I would like to know in general what’s provided so that I can pack lighter if possible or anything else I should bring.

I’m due early July with my first baby. I’m taking 12 months paid maternity leave, although I’ll be off work for 18 months. I’m wondering how the 5 week paternity leave works for my husband. His work is pretty flexible, and we want him to take off 2 weeks once she’s born, and another 2 weeks during Christmas, and possibly 1 more week sometime next year. Is it possible to take it in increments? And what’s the process like? Is there a waiting period to get paid?
