a prospective campus must have:

- decent amenities

- good transport options

- good food options

- purple lilac jacaranda trees

- proximity to tertiary institutions like griffith university or bond university (for the clout)

- access to the beach (optional but desirable)

- good wifi (optional)

- working bubblers (optional)

- clean toilets (optional)

- 20-storey carpark made out of 150 year-old sandstone

I'm curious on this one. I was just at Strathpine recently, and I swear there were carparks in the 1000s over there. It was an entire moat of hot, bare asphalt. And nevermind the fact that Gympie Rd is around the corner (a non-negotiable if you want to access Strathpine Shops).. 😫

PLEASE I've been seeing aura battles all over my feed. I want an aura battle to happen right here in St Lucia. It'll be the battle of the 67s' and tun tung sahurs and sonion and tralalelo larara. This will forever position UQ as a dominant Go8 university with unmatched aura 🙏🙏

If Beenleigh and Gold Coast train frequencies were to simultaneously increase post-CRR, I can't imagine the delays that'd be incurred for routes like the 150 and 156, and the wider community due to boom gates being closed for most of the hour. If an incident were to occur on any of the crossings (Nathan, Bonemill, Warrigal), then it'll effectively hold two entire LGAs hostage.

Are there any plans in place to remove these level crossings? I know there's been talk about permanently closing access to Bonemill Rd, but keeping Warrigal Rd as its a major arterial. I'm also aware that the Gateway Motorway overpass between Fruitgrove and Kuraby is a huge limitation. Some people have also speculated about terminating the 150 BUZ at Fruitgrove station post-CRR, which is interesting food for thought.

I've been told this entire debacle has been a stalemate, with the chances of rebuilding Runcorn and Fruitgrove stations and elevating the corridor being zero. But is this really true? If trains are going every 5 minutes in each direction in the future, then the amount of time those boom gates will be down will be insane. This will surely increase the number of incidents as increasingly frustrated drivers try to take shortcuts around the crossings (or worse) bypass the boom gates when they're closing.

We have the habit of creating new stations along existing rail corridors, as seen with Hope Island and Pimpama. It got me thinking, what infill stations would you like to see in the future? It can be as silly as you want.

I would add a station between Wynnum and Wynnum Central and call it 'Wynnum East', just to make the Cleveland line even more of a milkrun. Or maybe one between Graceville and Sherwood, aptly named Tennyson West station in honour of the Tennyson line 🤪

It'll be the BIGGEST club in UQ in no time. It'll be me (founder), my 5 vice presidents, 10 treasurers, 20 social media managers, 150 secretaries, 300 public relations officers, and 500+ recruitment/comms co-ordinators 💜

Meetings will be held every now and again, with networking, career fairs, and mock interviews in mind. However, I plan on pivoting the club's focus to be so much more.

It'll branch off to humanitarian work such as cleaning the streets of St Lucia and organizing free activities like run clubs and sleep/nap sessions in The Great Court.

The club's name is still undetermined for now. But for such an avant-garde club, I can't risk it being called the "UQ Larp Club" 💀. Instead, it'll have an unassuming name, perfect for your LinkedIn.

Am I boiling the ocean with this idea? Or should I circle back, synergize, and touch base with my North Star?
