Purchased this 1960/70 squiggle(?) at a vintage shop today for $65! At least that's what I believe it is after research, not sure what the tag is implying it is. Small damage at the bottom of the base but nothing major. I'll update when I get it running, it has a bulb but after reading the lava library I think I'll need a different one.

I recently got these 16.3 inch lamps that I really enjoy. The purple lamp was $5 on marketplace. It needed a little TLC so I took it apart and filtered it with a sawyer stray, cleaned the bottle and put it all back together. I ran it for one day and it was looking and running great, I was very happy with it. I woke up today to notice the color had completely faded. I filtered another blue lamp the same day and have noticed no signs of fading.
I'm honestly not upset about it as I intended to eventually customize this lamp and I don't mind the way it looks now. I'm just curious if anybody else has had this problem with fading after a filter? Does anybody know why it happened?
