Found this guy in an antique center in Cincinnati.

Hoi! Ik heb deze 2 geweldige theelichtjes lavalampen van mathmos. Nu heb ik hier 2 dingen die ik minder graag heb. Het wordt duur om telkens opnieuw theelichtjes te kopen en heel gezond is dit ook niet. Heeft iemand ervaring met het ombouwen van deze lampen? Een lamp installeren of het gebruik van een cup warmer of PTC heater misschien?

Did a full wax and fluid filtration on this lava lamp and it doesn't seem to be working right, some wax has stuck to the side of the glass and it doesn't seem to be fully melting as can be seen in the last two pictures, it has been on for like 5 hours at this point. What should i do?

Im having a super hard time with my lava lamp not “lava-ing”. It doesn’t move beyond this. It used to be the perfect lamp. Is there any way or method to fix this?

Hi everyone! I’m new to the community and trying to identify this silver lava lamp and would appreciate some help from the collectors here.

I’m particularly interested in identifying the exact model and approximate manufacturing year.

Silver metal base with small perforations around the body.
Matching silver metal cap.
Black plastic bottom rim.
Green wax with a pale, clear/yellowish liquid.
Side-mounted electrical switch.

I’ve been researching the Lava Library and wondered whether this could be a Lava Lite Century, possibly an older model with a silver finish. However, I’m not confident about that identification.

I also found information about Chinese-made Lava Lite bottle cap codes, but haven’t been able to confirm how to interpret these particular markings. My guess is that 0610402 might contain a date, potentially October 4, 2006, but that’s purely speculative.

Can anyone identify the exact model of this lamp and speculate what it’s worth?

Does the base match a particular Century or other Lava Lite model?

Can anyone decode the cap markings and establish when the globe was manufactured?

Is there any way to tell whether the globe and base originally belonged together?

Any help or references to catalogues, collector databases, or similar examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I got this lamp a couple months ago and I’ve noticed some floating stuff that wasn’t there before. What is it and how do I fix it?

It was on for 6 hours yesterday, it's been on for 5 and a half now, still no flow. Is this spring in a bad position? I read that I could gently swirl the lamp to reposition it, but that didn't help. It's the Astro Mathmos limited edition

Edit: i use a 35w bulb, the max for this lamp

Its a Mathmos Astro and the colour of the wax is dark red in real life but on camera it always shows up as purple for some reason.

The Green/Purple and Red/Clear custom bottles I switched the liquids of. (both in my black vinyl base.)

The silver base is struggling to get hot. It looks okay in that picture but the goo rises maybe 3 times per hour. I should just get a dimmer but are there any other ways of getting them a bit hotter?

I've been told the green wax in the other bottle they sell is a bit darker. So maybe I'll get a Green/Blue bottle and switch the liquid with the Orange/Purple I already have.

I wish I could take better pictures... The red is impossible to get a good pic of lol. They look way better IRL.

I posted here earlier because my lava lamp isn't flowing and already got some great advice. While moving the lamp, i noticed that the coil is tangled, could that be the cause?
