Went to Spencers and snagged a 16.3" cracked cobalt base lamp today to show my daughter how cool they are. Ordered 2 Grande's (blue/yellow and purple/yellow) before it was even fully finished heating up. Absolutely loved lava lamps when I was a kid. Extremely excited to get the two grandes and hope they aren't cloudy.
Used to come to this park all the time when I was a kid. Haven't been in 15 years or so. It was pretty depressing. All my favorite rides are gone or closed. Finding out the Arkansas Twister was closed was a real gut punch. I was with my daughter who doesn't meet the height requirement of most rides so we road Diamond Mine Run a few times and it was surprisingly fun for a kids coaster. Log ride about 10 times.
Anybody know what's going on with the park? Any plans for expansion? Just gonna let the theme park die completely and focus on the water park? Parking lot was absolutely packed but there wasn't a line longer than 2 or 3 people for any of the rides we went on. The gauntlet was operating and I remember it being fun when I was 15 or so. Twist N Shout was relocated to Myrtle Beach apparently and that was my second favorite to the Twister.
