Lorazepam

I take 2.13mg lorazepam per day in 3 split doses.

I have been on it at this dose for 27 months.

I am 79 with controlled heart failure.

I feel awful when I wake up after 7-9 hours sleep and stay like that until I take my 1pm dose and 10mg escitalopram.

Would this dose and time on produce a horrible taper?

Thank you for any responses. I am scared and old and don't know what to do.

Question

Hi

I have posted before but just wanting opinions.

I am a 79 year old kiwi man on 2mg lorazepam in three split doses per day for 25 months. I am stabled

I am terrified to taper and the length of time it would take would push me into my 80's I believe.

Would a taper be horrific?

Should I just stay on and hope for no tolerance?

Any suggestions very welcome.

Thank you.

Transition

Can anyone tell me how to transition from lorazepam to cloazepam safely?

My total dose of lorazepam is 2.13mg per day taken in 3 split doses.

9pm 0.67mg. 5.50am 0.78mg. 1pm 0.67mg.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Worrier

My Dr told me yesterday that if I get tolerance she would be reluctant to increase dose but also said based on my record over 24 months she does not believe I will get it.

I am 79 with heart failure and have been on 2mg lorazepam in 3 split doses for 24 months.

Old Dr who retired did this to me.

So worried now as I could not endure a taper.

Any thoughts?

Help

May I ask for opinions please

I am 79 year old man on 2.13mg lorazepam taken in 3 split doses.

I take 0.68mg at 9pm. 0.78mg at 5.45am.

0.67mg at 1pm.

Been on 24 months, no escalation in doses.

I now find that when I get up at 7.30am I feel drugged. My eyes even feel drugged.

I don't get anxiety or panic attacks, just the drugged brain fog feeling which I must admit causes me worry.

Any ideas why this is now happening?

Thank you
