Get ducks for pest control. They eat stink bugs and that's awesome.

I let my ducks free range. I only really have some chickens in permanent housing to ensure eggs but I'm gonna let most of them free. It's been doing great for pest control because we got a crazy stink bug problem in this area. Stink bugs drink pesticide out of shot glasses and they have a cigarette hanging from their mouth and child support to pay. They're gangster bugs and just don't die. But the ducks eat them and that's so great. Get some ducks. I'm telling ya that it will help your homestead tremendously. I've noticed a decline in stink bugs.

If you have goats on your homestead or farm for landscaping and goat purposes then you'll wanna breed them to get more. It's cheaper that way. But then comes the day the goat kid is born. You go to look for the goat kid and it's gone.

Don't panic.

This is common.

Goat kids like to hide. It's actually a really good natural instinct. When you're that small, hiding is a good thing to do when predators exist. So, I heard about the Chihuahua rule from a neighbor. They told me to not panic. They said to look for the kid in any space small enough for a Chihuahua to fit into.

So I did. I found the little one. Another thing you gotta know is that they make these little sounds to call out for their mama. They can sound like beeping or chirping. Some say it's like a bird chirping. Another warning I should give is that mama goats will defend their baby. Many times goats will run from danger but a mama goat is more likely to turn and fight for her baby.

Don't make her think the baby is in danger. Use calm vocalizations and be gentle. But the main thing is if you can't find the kid, don't assume the worst. They're probably just hiding. That's not a bad thing. It's great instinct.

Let me be the first to tell you the good news.

Thanks to Councilman Weiss, just like I promised, the Mayor couldn't avoid the issue. Weiss kept asking questions and he kept probing and you can ask anyone who attended. I informed him that I was the black dude who kept spewing all the laws in Oregon because my wife transcribes those laws.

People asked for my interference and the first time I did, this happens. I told you that you aren't going to beat ICE by appealing to the humanity of these people. You're going to fight this covertly and give threats of lawsuits for failure to comply. I have money. They know this. I don't have to negotiate with you.

So yeah, they voted on it and it passed. They're going to make an ordinance to enforce Oregon law. ICE doesn't get to run rough shot in Roseburg and I promised to provide the legal funds for the first immigrant ICE abuses in my city. It'll only take one suit to send a nice little message.

I promised my friend Julian that I would intervene. I'm supposed to be retired from activism but I did this one last favor. Made some calls. Explained the law in detail and flashed out law firms. You know good and well that nothing makes that city council move this fast unless there's a lawsuit on the line.

The message I delivered was that if the Roseburg City Council makes a resolution and does an ordnance then that will help protect the city from any liability in a lawsuit. Some people don't seem to understand how "liability" works. It doesn't matter if a Roseburg cop wasn't the one violating the rights of an immigrant. It happened in your town and that makes you liable, unless you take steps to protect yourself.

That argument seemed to work. Now you truly understand why the racists wanted black people like me banned. The moment we interfere, it goes a different way.

In closing, don't bother appealing to the humanity of that city council. They have no humanity. Appeal to their wallets. When you've sued so many people and won like I have, then that's the first lesson you learn. Use lawfare.

Please show up to the council meeting this evening and voice your concerns. You get two minutes. There's a cop there so don't say anything crazy. I want you there because people need to speak out on various issues and this is your opportunity. These people tax you. Therefore, make sure they hear your voice.

I encourage all of you to show up to the next Roseburg Townhall at 7:00 PM on second and forth Mondays, usually. Look out for when the next one pops up and show up to all of them. Voice your concerns to the city council. However, I'm taking a different approach.

The next one is April 27 at 7 PM. Please show up and speak. I think you get 2 minutes to voice your concern so take the time now to prepare what you gotta say.

I'm going to poison the well against ICE. If you want any hope to change someone's mind then you hit them where America cares the most and that's money. I've been on the phone with several law firms and I'm willing to throw my hat into the ring.

We must make the Roseburg City Council aware of how many lawsuits have been filed against ICE and especially in Oregon. You're talking about more than 2,800 lawsuits filed in just one part of California. I don't imagine that's going to improve here. So far this year, we've seen more than 70 lawsuits in Oregon against ICE action with the State of Oregon suing the Federal Government with an additional 40+ lawsuits relating to this administration's actions with ICE.

In 2025, Oregon spent a fortune on ICE related lawsuits and this year will probably be worse.

What you aren't being told about Waldport was some of the legal stuff for why ICE could get repelled from there. For example, my wife pointed out to me that she knows people who transcribed minutes for town meetings in Waldport and she gave me a link to show the actual reason why Waldport could push ICE away. They quite literally allotted $175k to just legal funds and I'd imagine they would allot even more money. They released information about this in December 2025. They planned ahead which is why I've gotten into the habit of pointing out problems ahead of time and if folks elect not to listen then that's on them. It's pretty clear at least my wife has been keeping up with this issue to know all the stuff behind this.

Here is a link for you to see this: https://multco.us/news/news-release-multnomah-county-strengthens-status-sanctuary-community-new-funding-policy#:\~:text=The%20one%2Dtime%20funding%20approved%20today%2C%20drawn%20from,impact%20of%20County%20partnerships%20in%20the%20community.

They had lawyers, legal advocates, and social workers on the ready. Waldport had an Aegis shield waiting for ICE. That told ICE that Waldport wouldn't be a suitable area because you'd need to recruit locally and they're trying to get away from cities like Portland where a new recruit might be a liability. That simple action told ICE, "We don't want you here and we will use money to make you as uncomfortable as possible."

Roseburg needed something similar. Waldport did the smart thing and planned ahead. I was trying to get people's attention with some of this stuff but I'll get over that. The fact of the matter is that you're going to need money, lawyers, and you need to push your city council to allot funds to help undocumented families, especially children. Sure, Oregon already has funds available for that but having a local city council allot funds for this as well would send a message to ICE and all the modern day slave catchers.

Another good example that nobody mentions is Multnomah County. They allotted like a quarter of a million dollars just for potential legal fees for undocumented people. That's not a small chunk of change and a civil rights attorney will gladly snatch that up to represent someone. This is why I tell people that waiting until the wolves are at your door is utterly pointless. These people did the planning ahead.

The only reason why I'm so pessimistic is due to the fact that time is very limited. I've won a federal case before, Pigford V. Glickman, as a plaintiff or at least one of the many plaintiffs. I'm telling you that the mere threat of a lawsuit in the middle of a war that's already costing a fortune isn't the kind of smoke this administration wants or needs. If they wanted that smoke then they would've just told Waldport and everyone else that they're just gonna do what they want.

You cannot appeal to people who are trained to not recognize humanity with words. You gotta use what my grandma called "white people language" which is basically lawsuits. She's from the civil rights era. The first time ICE shows up and I see the same nonsense that we've all seen in all the footage and I'll personally fund the victim or their family's lawsuit. Trust me when I say that if that happens enough times then they'll pick another spot.

Edit: And please don't say anything crazy. They do have cops there. They also Livestream. Hit them with facts. Make them aware of how much this could potentially cost the city of Roseburg. As sad as it is, money is about the only thing some folks care about.
