So my dad and others have been trying to set up up for a few years now. He mentioned it again and I told her and we both said we weren’t opposed to dating so I asked her out and she said yes. Thank you to all those who gave advice. I’m hoping this link goes to the original post but idk.

I’m 19 and she’s 17. We’ve known eachother since I was 16 and she was 14. But we have gotten a lot closer and there has begun to seem like there is tension there. I would have already asked her out if it wasn’t for the age thing. Would it be weird if we started dating? A couple of my friends have tried to ship us together before. And they don’t think it’s weird. But on the other side I’m about to start my sophomore year of college and she’s about to be a senior in high school so idk.

All of these things I’m doing are just because I want to and they happen to be related in some way to church.

1. Waiting till marriage to have sex. They have not done that
2. Love thy neighbor. I don’t hate anyone. I try to respect everyone’s beliefs because everyone has different reasons for believing certain things. They again don’t do that.

There are more examples but it’s just funny I think that u can be a devout Christian but not do some of the core Christian things.
