I’m having trouble deciding between the M5 MacBook Pro released in October 2025 or the M5 MacBook Air released a few months ago. Someone I know is selling the M5 MacBook Pro for $1350, pretty much brand new. But I can also buy a 15 inch MacBook Air M5 for about the same price. Just wondering which one is better from the perspective of someone that has both. I’m a college student that does the occasional photo or video editing but besides that it’s just normal work. I think the better display on the pro would be nice, but I’ve heard that portability is better on the air. Or, would it be better to wait for the new MacBook Pro with the OLED screen? However, I did hear that there will be a big price increase. I currently have a M1 13 inch MacBook Pro. It has started slowing down recently, but I don’t NEED to upgrade right away.
