Hii people of r/malehairadvice i hope yall are well. I'll be direct. Ever since my hair type became wavy during puberty. I never felt comfortable with my hair. Added the fact that ive battled with depression over the years. Ive experienced hair loss asw. Making me feel unhappy with my look.

I've always been unsure what style to settle with. I keep cutting it short and grow it to where it is today. But as we can see the hair looks like an abomination just after a shower :(

Any advice my way would honestly be greatly appreciated. I rly wanna glow up this year and leave depression for good. This would be one step closer to that feeedom.

Ps: Currently I just shampoo my hair. Although ive started conditioning my hair recently (not in this pic)

I honestly have no idea what I want to do with my hair or what style would actually suit me. I could really use some help and fresh ideas
What do you guys think would suit me
Should i grow my hair out to a mod cut or trim it or whatever im not really sure but it looks horrible

First photo is the real me, without glasses. The next ten are AI previews with my natural hair color and the same beard, so judge the haircut rather than any AI weirdness.

Which two should make the final? Use the numbers printed on the pictures. They skip around because these survived a much bigger shortlist.

Also, should I stick with my natural color or try something different? Highlights, subtle color, something bolder? I’m open to honest opinions and suggestions, including a cut that isn’t pictured. What would you recommend?

Bonus points for saying why, or giving me a barber reality check. I’m up for a change, but a shaved head is off the menu.

My girlfriend pointed out that i have a very prominent crown and i am now paranoid about whether this is a cause for concern/early sign of balding. If so what can i do to prevent worsening/treat it

I got a pretty square face, kinda baby face situation (but I can suck in the cheeks for the jawline lmao) most of these are pictures I thought I looked good in so kinda biased selection (some irl pics from rn at start) I’ve never really had a haircut that felt perfect for me. Hair is unruly.

So in the past two years, I’ve just grew it out and never cut it. I think my long hair looks pretty good when it looks good but day to day nah I look homeless now, it’s hard to take care of as I’m going through a rough spot right now and tbh my hair is all knotted and bad and idk if I can keep it. I’ve felt pretty ugly past few months and got super sick. But I’m trynna be better now and maybe even look handsome.

What haircut would best suit my face/shape and make me look better? Keep in mind my face isn’t as chiseled as it was in some of the earlier photos because I was skinnier back then so ofc I won’t look like that (yet - I’m trying to work out again now!!) I got kind of an overbite and jaw/lower third of my face is not super long, and a big forehead and upper part of my head. I thought long hair and beard would hide those things (the short jaw and big forehead) but idk.

Just gimme anything. Rn I’m really just considering the shortest hair for the simplicity and I thinkk it looked a lil better day to day? But it was also not perfect and boring, and I worked a lot for this length.

I'm kinda tired of having my hair infront of my forehead all the time because i wanna look "more proper and mature" i guess. I dont know if my forehead is too big or if it suits me tho so be brutally honest.

I have this problem with my hair that I would love to address.

So, I would like to consistently have my hair like in the penguin pictures (my goal), but I always have it like in the dog picture. It looks waaaay better to me, with all those strands and texture instead of a block of hair

Funny enough, the only difference between both images is going to the gym and sweat A LOT. Yes, unfortunately for me, the hair that I want to achieve comes with having it dirty.

I've tried with sea-salt water and hair wax, but I can't achieve my desired hair.
So, how can I achieve that exact kind of effect, but having my hair washed?

Any recommendations of products? :(

I have male pattern baldness (27M) and shaved it down last year, but recently decided to let it start growing back. What do you all think? Let it grow or keep it shaved down? The way it looks also varies pretty greatly depending on the lighting.

See I always had like straight hair and a terrible hairstyle.

I started to care about my hair I m 17M and I recently got a low taper fade. It really suits on me,no one actually made fun of them and got a few complements too.

The only problem I have is that even after using hair powder and hair dryer I m never able to actually get fringes or a messy hair look.

I love how my hair looks straight out of the shower but once it dries it becomes a mess. Any tips / product recommendations for controlling it or suggestions for which direction I should take for styling it? Normally just use curl cream, I've tried pomade, gel and holding cream but never went too heavy with it.

I have a natural widows peak, and I've noticed recently that the very noticeable "point" that I had when I was younger seems to have gone away. My hair still feels dense all around, and I haven't noticed my temples retreating at all (beyond what might just be normal), it just seems to have thinned right at the very front of my hairline. I do have long hair and often wear my hair tied back into a bun, so I'm thinking it might just be some traction alopecia? Advice on what to do? Anyone been in the same situation?

Hi, this is me . I have been letting my hair grow since mai. The sides are okay, the back looks great. But the front is really .... disappointing I'd say. It's really thin and I fear that it will look awful once longer

I want to let it grow longer to try 1 full year without haircut. Do you think the front will even out ?
