Are they letting horses on the trails now? Bears? Cows? Wtf in at least three places there are huge, I mean fucking gigantic, piles of shit in the middle of the trails. In one place it's like explosive diarrhea for at least twenty feet. Anyone know anything about this? If you go hiking or biking keep your eyes peeled or suffer the consequences I guess.

I'm freshly 48, 6'1, ~180 lbs. Not looking to break any land speed or air time records.

Looking at a YT Izzo Core 2 (XL) with fox 34/ fox float (year and travel unlisted, waiting on a reply). Or a 2023 Fezzari Signal Peak 2.0 (L) with DVO Sapphire 120mm front, 115 rear. Both have new tires and brakes, the Fezzari has upgraded Spank oozy bars and PNW stem. YT seems stock. Both asking $1750.

I feel like I'm in a bit of no mans land regarding frame size, and am reading that the YT frames run a little small, which might be good for me as my KHS hard tail is a large and feels pretty good, but I also have the seat pushed back to the max. I've tried other XL bikes with mixed results, but some felt too tall, like my center of gravity was up near my sternum.

I'll be riding mostly in the ohio river valley and daniel boone/big south fork state park areas. So mostly distance riding, single track, long climbs and having a little fun on the way down. The 120/115mm on the Fezzari seems like a good fit for what I'm aiming to do, but the YT seems to come stock at 130mm front and rear. It that's the case, would you prefer one over the other? It's been ages since I owned a full suspension bike (like 15 years, and it was a store brand POS), so I'm a bit overwhelmed at all of the newness. Unfortunately both bikes are 1.5 hours away in opposite directions, so a test ride is a bit of a pain.

Both bikes seem quite well regarded so I'm just looking for any personal insights. I don't want to say this will be my last bike, but I would like something comfortable and reliable that might just be my last bike.
