Need a new bike I dig these two! Had a few canyons, always wanted a Commencal. I want to do enduro and go to the bike park thoughts?
Canyon Torque DH CLLCTV - a quick summary
frame and company:
I've ridden a few Canyons over the years never had a problem with their bikes only them ( customer service etc) really love the colours on this bike especially! Never saw a bike frame like this which really attracted my eyes, I happen to love a white bike and purple would/is a lovely secondary colour. Also love canyon frames and never had a snapyon experience, fingers crossed!
Suspension:
I've personally always ridden Rockshox never fox. Always a coil rear as well as it just looks cooler and in my opinion better feeling then air. As I said never fox but my buddy has the same fox forks and rear shock as the Commencal and I fell in love With the fork but I'm a bit iffy on the air shock. And that fork looks crazy 190 mm travel might be a bit much though and a double crown... I don't know
Sram/mechanics:
I'm half and half with sram as I've ridden sram and shamano, and well I have mixed feelings I prefer sram drive train but prefer shamano breaks so I'm not as bothered. but the 7 speed cassette is small even for someone who likes smaller cassettes (Usually a 9 speed) but 7 might be better as it will have a thicker/bigger chain No? Cranks - I love no other words. Wish it had a dropper though! It's also nice it has a chain guard
Tires and wheels:
Maxxis - same tires I always run. But never ridden a sun ringle rim and I don't know what to expect I usually have dt swiss and have no complaints. It doesn't help thst the sun ringle ones look pretty ugly.
I'll probably be changeing everything on the cockpit eventually and seat so I won't go into detail.
But it looks like a downhill bike also has Dh in the name but it's listed as a Enduro on canyons website (what I want) thoughts?
Commencal Clash Essential Pure White 2026
Frame and company:
I'm not sure on the frame quality on commencals or what their company's like so feel free to tell me. Ive just always wanted a Commencal for some reason but never got round to send I was planning on making the stem and grips etc blue and pedals to do a white and blue theme. The branding is very tasteful and looks great.

As I said never fox but my buddy has the same fox forks and rear shock as the Commencal and I fell in love With the fork but I'm a bit iffy on the air shock. The travel is just right but that air shock... Should I go fox?
Shamano/mechanics:
As I said before I prefer sram drive train but shamano breaks. So the shamano drive train especially the 12 speed is looking not so good on the brightside the breaks look great the discs look nicer as well.
Wheels/tires:
Same old for me, Maxxis and dt Swiss so all good hopefully.
Looks like what I want, nice enduro.
I have a continental kryptotal, downhill casing, in super soft compound, and whenever I press my thumb near the bead it proceeds to leak air out of it, and when I set up the tire , I made sure to seat the bead properly, I cannot figure out why it keeps leaking. The rim tape is undamaged and the sealant is not dried out.
Hey all! I crashed last weekend and broke my collarbone in two places. Doc said that the pieces are aligned enough to let the bone heal naturally, though he said that we'll re-evaluate in a week. I am in a arm sling and figure 8. I'm mostly okay throughout the day, with little to no pain, but my problem is at night. I've been sleeping with the sling in a semi-reclined position in bed, propped up by 4 pillows. I get comfortable, shoulder feels supported, then fall asleep but I always awake up in a lot of arm pain at 3:00am. Then I have to sit up and massage my biceps and elbow area. Consequently the collarbone moves a bit and then I'm like a dog shifting my body around to get comfortable again. It really sucks, and I feel exhausted getting 3-5hrs of sleep. Any tips on what to do? 🙏🏼
I have a 2025 Supercaliber Gen 2 and I'm wondering where to take it for routine shock and fork service. I would like to avoid waiting 2-3 weeks for the service. I have spoken with a couple of local bike shops (I'm located in Palo Alto) and each one says they send it out to a different location for servicing the Supercaliber. High cost is tough to stomach but the time off the bike is the main thing I''m looking to avoid right now.
Any recommendations for places that are competitive on cost and turnaround are greatly appreciated. I'm also willing to take it to an independent mechanic with the right bona fides.
Looking for a more downhill oriented bike to complement my 120mm bike. Looking for one that is on the boundary of all mountain / enduro so I can still spend longer days in the saddle. I’ve narrowed it down to yeti sb160 and Norco sight since they’re both on sale. Does anyone have any guidance or experience with these bikes?
SB160 T2 X0/90 with carbon wheels: $6400 (airpark bike co)
Sight c2 160 gen 5: $6,599

Hello,
Excuse me about my grammar errors, english is not my native language, but i try my best.
I am stucked at what shoe am I need to buy.
Could you recommend such shoe for me, with fits for my need:
- long daily tours: 80 - 100 km (50 - 60 miles)
- flat bottom shoe / no spd
- riding on asphal and gravel road with no shade (so i am not an enduro / DH rider, more like a tracking / touring rider)
- heavy rider (120 kg / 260 lbs) riding with eMTB, using this flat pedal: https://www.cube.eu/hu-hu/cube-pedals-all-mountain-tm/14390
- size 45 EU / 11 US
- wide modell is needed (for reference, my daily walk / work shoe is a Brooks Ghost 17 2E wide), so narrow modells like Shimano ET501 wont fit.
- I have high instep / high arch, so most shoes wont fit
- I want to ride in 30 - 40 degree celsius (86 - 104 F, typical hot day),
- excellent ventillation (so waterproff brands like Altra wont work)
I had checked many vendors (Fox, Shimano, Specialized, Trek / Bontrager, Lake, etc), but nothing is matching for my need (and leg).
Can you suggest me a suitable shoe, please?
Long story short, our family of four got mountain bikes recently, and trails at Flatwoods and Alafia are great fun, but I am failing at bike transport. In the last month, I have gotten a front hydraulic disc brake stuck because my kids played with the levers, and I didn’t know to put a card in the calipers. I broke a $50 front thru axle because I didn’t have a torque wrench to reinstall the front wheel and got it wrong. I scratched up an air fork from bikes making too much contact. I *almost* lost a bike on the Interstate 75 when the straps broke on my old hanging rack on our VW. So yesterday, I got a 2” hitch on our newer 2021 car, and last night, we installed a better platform bike rack. That was supposed to solve the problem and get us to Santos this weekend without drama. This morning, I got trapped in my own driveway due to the emergency braking, which I cannot figure out how to turn off. Alarms keep going off and the car won’t reverse more than six inches. This mom might be failing the real qualifier.
I need new tyres for one of my bikes and when im browsing sizes they make no sense, i have 2.3" but theyre etro 55, the 2.25s i was looking at are etrto 57, why is there such a discrepancy between tyre sizes?
Hey all!
Beginner here trying to learn the ready/attack positions.
My first issue is that I'm starting to get confused about which is which. I've seen some videos treat them as separate terms, while others seem to view them as the same thing. My current view is that they both are different states of the same position. One you are more relaxed since there are no obstacles, the other one you bend your arms and legs to use whichever technique you need to. Is this correct?
Secondly, I've been doing some attempts on getting used where my body is and how these positions feel. In which of my clips do you guys think my position is best, and what should I work on to improve it?
I personally feel like my second try is by far the best of my 3 attempts, but still not as it should be.
And thirdly: I feel quite some tension in my right hamstring doing this. Is that due to lack of flexibility?
Thanks in advance!
I rarely go mtb and usually stick to gravel roads and rail trails. Recently moved and checked out a local reservoir and there were blue and green double track trails around the perimeter so I wanted to go for it.
Going UP a root feature I skipped on the way down I ended up eating a tree stump and bruising all the ribs on my right side.
Im looking for a lightweight chest protecter and maybe some knee pads. Any brands yall recommend or maybe what I should NOT buy?
Note to self, when mtb on my gravel bike... Drop the seat.
Hey everyone! Just wondering about the differences between the 3, I know the main differences (stanchion size) but is it actually worth the price gaps between them? Don't have a budget just want to know if the more expensive versions are worth the premium prices. Thank you.
So I have 2 Continental Kryptotals one is a Re 2.6 and one is an Fr 2.4. I heard from someone that you should always put the thicker tire in the front but the thicker one is the the rear version….. Am I overthinking this? what would you guys do? thanks!
I'm going to buy a used 2023 Santa Cruz V10. Can anyone tell me what I need to look for to make sure it's in good condition? Here's everything I need to check to make sure it's in good condition. Thanks.
Riding a lot of tight, rooted singletrack under a heavy tree canopy lately. My current sunglasses are too dark in the shade and I keep losing sight of roots. I've tried clear lenses but they're blinding when I pop out into a clearing. Standard photochromics seem like the answer but I've heard they're slow to react. Anyone tried active photochromic lenses for MTB? Worth the premium?
I ordered a Lynskey Performance Atlas frame and it has shipped! I have a pile of parts sitting in my garage, but I just realized I don't know if frame will ship with a rear axle. I tried calling them, but it is the Friday before Memorial Day weekend in the USA, so I am not sure they are working.
Anyone who has ordered a Lynskey frame with thru-axles, did it come with the rear axle?
I just started setting up my minivan conversion so I can haul my MTB and camping box. This is my progress so far. I managed to fit the bike while keeping 2nd row seats. Oy 3rd row folded.
I’m looking for setup ideas, especially for what to do with the front wheel. I need to keep the left side open for hauling a stroller, and the right side is taken up by the camper box and another small box .
Anyone running a similar minivan/MTB setup? Any suggestions?
