Help - Damage and warranty.

I recieved a Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 today through the post from Australia to New Zealand. However, within a few minutes of unboxing it, I noticed a couple of thin (about hair width) scratches on the display. While they are small, they are quite long and spread out to about ⅙ of the display (top-middle) so it is very noticeable.

It really struck my mood as I had just spent a considerable amount of money I had saved for a while to buy this- around $780nzd not including shipping- so my spirits have been dampened.

I do not recall whether it was damaged already when I removed it from the box, I may have unintentionally damaged it without noticing, but I'm really not sure how I wouldn've done so?

I would really appreciate if someone could advise me whether this falls under the replacement warranty (1y official warranty through Huion customer services) before I attempt to contact them. I'm sure they would probably pass it off as mishandling and I would be stuck with permanent damage from day 1, and this was intended to last me as long as possible.

(Photo attatched of the scratches, with flash so as to make them clear)

Help - Deciding which to buy.

Hey all, I am a hobbyist artist (not at all high in skill nor time spent doing art) who uses Krita on a laptop.

My Wacom One screenless drawing pad has recently stopped working and I've been thinking about upgrading to a screen display tablet.

However, while exploring the Huion website, I came across two good looking options in my price range;

Kamvas 16 Gen 3, and Kamvas Pro 16 v2.

I'm not a techy by any means, so I really dont know much about the different specs. I see that many are the same, but a few like screen resolution are different.

The biggest thing for me is the pricing difference, a $232NZD gap with the Gen 3 being $780.

Apart from the resolution, what is the difference, what causes such a large price gap? And is the difference even meaningful enough to notice for its worth?

I don't care much for the navigation, I hardly use (if not ever) the buttons on my current screenless tablet, but I do use the buttons on the pen a lot.

I'm really struggling to decide which I should go for, I'm not exactly flush financially so this will decide what I use for the next few years, I can't afford to change my mind in a few months.

Hopefully looking to hear from someone who has experience with both tablets or atleast one vs a similar product. 🫰
