Hey all ilvl 278 Paladin here, ive been getting really into holy paladin recently due to how fun its been in raid and M+, but something really bothers me and I need some opinions and facts.
Word of Glory, as someone who also plays both Ret and Prot Paladin, WoG on those two specs feel like BiS self/ supplemental group heals. If I cast it, I can see and feel the impact it has. Hell, as a prot paladin I can crit WoG and fill my bar 75%.
However, as Holy, it feels like it does nothing? Bars dont really move. I play Lighsmith in M+ and Herald in raid. Doesn't matter, it doesnt feel like its really worth casting. There have been some cases where it crits really hard and then actually heals, but as it stands, the abilities I cast to generate the 3 holy power needed to cast it do *A LOT* more healing than a single WoG. Two Holy Shocks currently beat out a WoG for me, sometimes even a single Holy Shock or Flash of Light.
Am I just doing something wrong, or am I missing something that makes this worth casting over SotR in most situations? Am I expected to rely on the chance it could crit hard?
