What is the dungeon community now?

ive been playing mop classic for a bit and with the idea floating around that they might abandon it ive got back to retail just to keep up to date whil;e i still p;lay classic.
im playing brewmaster and leveling using the timewalking in dragonflight this week.
bare in mind i already have a level 90 and ive dont 90% of all the quests in midnight so im not that far out of the loop.
every single time i go into a dungeon the dps are pinging and spamming gogogo meanwhile me and the healer and trying our hardest not to wipe. im not going slow either im just not a level 10 enchanted micro tank thing.
i got pretty used to ignoring the pings and the chat spam telling me to ''gogogogo'' because i like that dragonflight has 50% exp boost and mentor buff gives me 25% and then timeways gives me 30% so im leveling super fast.
what kinda annoyed me was just now i was doing the dungeon as i normally do. bare in mind i was in retail during dragonflight so i know what im doing sometimes i over pull but most of the time its pretty solid and we are all good.
i have a demon hunter spamming and pulling the whole dungeon and running back to me. so i say ''if you want to tank then switch to tank spec..''
i mean the tank queue is literally 5 seconds at the minute. anyway i continue pulling through the dungeon and then just as we get to the 3rd boss i get kicked and now i have to wait 30 minutes before i can do another dungeon because aparently that makes me a deserter?
why cant i just tank the dungeon? why is everyone in such a damn rush to have nothing to do? like i said im not exactly going slow im going as fast as my current level can handle and most of the time my group are all leveling as well. id understand if i was in a dungeon with 4 level 90s and they wanted to go faster but these dps that are rushing me are doing so little damage that everything is living for so long and i have to make sure i dont wipe else its going to be 3 times as long.
anyway if someone could explain why 4 people agreed to kick me on the 3rd boss that would be great thank you.

Any tank fitting me and my adhd needs?

Hey everyone,

I’m a healer main heading into Midnight and I absolutely love it because of the multi-layered gameplay that keeps my ADHD brain engaged. I’m constantly readjusting, reacting to bursts, and pre-planning cooldowns/resources. I have to manage different resources (some I build up, some I save), juggle cooldowns optimally in every moment, and monitor tons of things at once—like party health bars, incoming damage, enemy mechanics, and my own positioning/output. It’s a perfect mix of reactive gameplay and proactive planning with no static “learn once, master once” loops. I get bored easily with simple builder-spender rotations, so I crave specs where I’m always fidgeting with combined mechanics, multitasking, and interacting with the game world in dynamic ways.
I’ve been wondering if any tank could give me a similar level of fun and depth. Tanks obviously involve proactive route planning, positioning, and cooldown timing, plus reactive survival and threat management—but do any come close to the constant layers, resource juggling, monitoring (mobs + group), and fidgety decision-making I love from healing?
• I want high complexity with ongoing layers (pets/DoTs/minions, procs, multiple resources, utility).
• Strong reactive + proactive mix.
• Avoid anything too streamlined or static post-Midnight simplifications.

Which tanks (Blood DK, Guardian Druid, Brewmaster Monk, Prot Paladin, Prot Warrior, Vengeance/Devourer DH, etc.) do you think would feel the most engaging for someone like me? Any personal experiences or comparisons to healing? Bonus if they shine in M+ where multitasking is high.

Thanks in advance

When is the best time for new players?

Last night I was running some time walking with a friend of mine who I've been slowly over the course of a couple months have been helping to get to lvl 90, he never played wow before then and we havnt really gone too deep with rotations, buffs, ect. I tell him to put one button rotation on his bar keep using that and using what i call his panic buttons (he playing ret paladin rn) so his lay on hands, and shields.

Well cut to yesterday we are running timewalking Dungeons to finish the final stretch of lvling.

And he dies and tries to make his way back and doesnt make it in time for the boss and the team does a vote kick, i inform them that he's new and that the content doesn't warrant worrying if he's an active help or not due to being a melee dps spec.

Well after another death the kick vote goes through.

After doing healing with an alt through TW, im noticing so many people going absolutely balls to the wall and even im a little pressed trying to keep the team up

**And I wonder , is the end of season *really* the best time to get friends not familiar with the game on board**

Edit: to clarify a couple of things, as it keeps being brought up in comments

  1. We only did timewalking last night when he was level 87, we are not speed blasting through levels, if you could read, we have been playing scarcely over a couple months

  2. He uses obr because when we were initially leveling he couldnt get a good grasp of things and constantly died , I suggested he try one button rotation and after a bit of time thats what he felt comfortable with using. I dont care what anyone thinks of that or if im "ruining" his experience, he uses it because thats what works for HIM. Its a tool for new players, and HE is a new player using that tool. I could go at length about any intent to get him a better understanding of his class spec and rotation but quite frankly I dont have to.

Can't settle on a rogue race

I will go horde and just can't decide between male troll, fem panda, fem undead or a vulpera even. All races seem fun so coming here to ask what you all prefer from these?

Question about gearing?

Hello, returning wow player here with a friend.
We finished main campaign and spammed heroics as tank and healer to 231 gear.

Question, so what is the most optimal way to gear?
I see there's so many diverse ways of getting gear, what do we next.
And if u can go in details since I played like older expansions and this is a bit different hehe thanks in advance!

Ilvl 260

So I have an ilvl of 260 and really haven’t been able to play much during this first season because of life. I want to know what is the most beneficial to do during these last weeks of 12.0.7 before 12.1 comes out. Should I even worry about the rerolls weekly? I don’t have that done. I’m genuinely lost with the amount of content that’s here and have no idea where to even begin. Can anyone help give me a list of exactly what needs to be done to progress or what I can skip entirely. I’m not looking for the “just play the game at your own pace” answer. I’ve considered quitting because I don’t understand what’s happening and where to go.

Playing NA account in EU

So I’ve been playing wow for 18+ years which obviously means i have a lot of time and stuff on my account. I will be moving to Italy for work and as far as I know there’s literally nothing I can do about my account being linked to NA. Am I even going to be able to play effectively when it comes to raid or m+? Is my lag/ping going to be out of control? Does Blizzard really not having any plan for this happening to people?

Hunter pet stable?

Hia folks

I read somewhere there's supposed to be a new "toy pet stable" set for housing? All good and fun, but what about Hunter pets? Can we make stables for them?

And I don't meant "build a circle with fences and park a pet there for photo". An actual stable, where we could see may 5-6 pets roaming around, and even select them.

Midnight Season 2 goal Item Level?

I’m a newish player to wow and have been really enjoying it. I have a frost mage that is item level 256 and a warrior I’m leveling currently that’s almost 80 during the timewalking events.

I have done quite a bit of delves and like 3 mythic+ dungeons. A 2, 5, and 10 key. The 10 key was with help from the guild I’m in. I’m still new enough that mythic+ is really intimidating so not really comfortable enough to just spam it constantly.

I’m wondering what item level everyone is aiming for before season 2 starts? I’m not really sure where the item level is going to be for season 2 and don’t want to start struggling right away if that makes sense. Thanks!

Is spamming timewalking dungeons really the fastest way to get badges?

Each dungeon takes like 20 minutes, and you get on average around 60 badges per run. At that rate, to get a 4000 badge ensemble of transmog gear is like 20 hours of timewalking dungeons? Seems insane, especially considering there's multiple mounts, multiple sets of gear etc I would like to pick up each week. There's literally zero way to get it all.
