Story Mode should be available for week 1 but also for the entire raid.
Here we are, the topic of Story Mode has come back again.
I know the devs once said they don't want Story Mode to be available week 1 because it would take away the feeling of doing the raid as a community/group for the first week. One week isn't long, but it's long enough for some people to get spoiled on social media or elsewhere.
If Story Mode exists, it should be there week 1, for every boss, not as a partial rollout. Jumping straight to Dimensius with none of the earlier build-up breaks the pacing completely. Same with Ula'tek: skipping bosses like >!Zul'jan and Malacrass, or even Nek'zali from the story campaign!<makes the raid feel disjointed instead of like an actual journey.
The only reason I can see for Story Mode not covering the whole raid is that coding the bots for all 8 bosses is probably a lot of work, but I could be wrong, I'm not a game dev.
20+ year WoW veteran and my biggest regret is...
Not finishing the Mage Tower for my hunter back in Legion.
I've played since I was a kid in tBC. Always bounced around mains.
When Mage Tower launched, I loved it. Achieved the hidden skins for: Blood, Frost, Unholy DK, Prot, Arms, and Fury Warrior, Ele, Enhance, and Resto shaman. Brew, Windwalker, and Mist monk.
I had a couple close pulls with BM hunter, but didn't want to grind out more Nethershards or whatever currency it was. So I just shelved it.
Life starts to get more complicated after college, only had time to play a few characters casually. Flipped between shaman and hunter in BfA. Settle on hunter after that because it supports my casual commitment capacity.
I become a casual conqueror. World quest master. LFR tryhard. Lore junkie. Transmog yuppie.
Now, even though I've been rocking survival hunter for TWW and Midnight, this seasons themes are everything to me. I play exclusively trolls. Darkspear, Zandalari, and we-have-Amani-at-home. And I would just be so smitten to have this beauty of a crossbow/gun to complement transmogs, hunter pets, housing themes.
But it's gone. No coming back. Because I didn't put in the time in the place I thought I would need it. When Mage Tower relaunched, I got the fel tier recolor day 1 on my hunter.
Even though I'm thirsting after any sweet crossbow mogs, this pinnacle Venomstrike mog will always be the one that got away.
Xal'atath Silvia - Elves, Haranir, and Trolls and why we're taking the bait.
Seeing people constantly lose their minds over the 'retcon' and throwing a fit and calling it bad writing and that it makes no sense that we're randomly doing troll stuff for s2- so I figured i'd go ahead and put everything important in one place for at least my own sanity.
Like I know, deep down, some of these people just don't read. They are the same people who couldn't understand why we went to Undermine despite Xal handing Gallywix the dark heart very explicitly.
"The writing is just so bad." The Players themselves are falling for the antagonists very obvious schemes. It feels like watching people make fun of a horror movie protagonist for doing stupid stuff and then they do the exact same thing in real life.
The Cursebreaker achievement has been hotfixed today from requiring 300 curse surges to 150.
mmo-champion.comHow it feels doing Nightmare prey on Coiled Isle right now
probably overtuned but whatever
What is up with the ungodly amount of trash in this raid?
Feels like this is the worst trash we've ever had in a raid, both in terms of count and RP events.
DPS soak the green circles in Temple of Seth
Spread the word, it puts a 250% physical dmg taken increase and a -33% healing onto the soakers so it’s deadly for healing tanks and possibly deadly for healers to take these.
Too many flawless m+ runs are being destroyed at this easy boss from people not doing the green soak mechanic correctly.
Edit: looks like everyone else sees them as purple, when I get home I’ll update addons for some reason I see them as green and assumed that’s just was color they were.
Either way dps soak orbs!
If you had to play one class forever, what would it be?
Haven’t really played since BFA , at such time I played a hunter until 110. I’m trying to get back into the game and find a different class to play! I love paladin aesthetic but don’t want to be tank in the dungeons lol. Open to support or heals too.
Day 1, tank and healer in the group, not a single signup for 15 minutes.
I understand that a +2 might not be the most lucrative key in the world, and atm it's probably raid time for a lot of people, but this just does not seem right.
I checked the listing multiple times, no ilvl requirements or anything that would prevent anyone from signing up.
Am I missing something here?
Question for Microsoft and Blizzard (and the wow devs)
In all seriousness tho it's disheartening when the first thing I see in my socials is Liquid Maximum criticising the launch quality of the new raid.
That said I'm glad the big creators are starting to Blizzard out over an issue that has been ongoing since Dragon flight. Their conspicuous silence on the issue has been "interesting" to say the least.
Some stats from my "let me solo him"
In case it helps anyone out there:
- Item level 292, with season 1 tier set bonus
- Prot warrior. (Had trouble surviving in arms spec.)
- Took "Accursed Poison" from Corrosive Codex for extra interrupt, in case the add doesn't die fast enough.
- Home-made talent build:
- Pushed execute damage using "sudden death", "massacre", and "devastating focus"
- Extra tools for locking down the add: "Intimidating shout", "Disrupting shout", "Javelineer", "Shockwave", and "Stormbolt"
- No addons for the memory game. Placed down world markers so I could see where the quadrants are, then remembered by "上/下/左/右" ("up/down/left/right"; Taiwanese person here) based on where my camera's pointing. First one's always "下" ("down"), so I could memorize one less.
- Maybe around ~10k gold spent on repairs?
