Hi All!

I am going to Japan in July. High level, I will start in Hiroshima, then go to Osaka, Koya-san, Nara, Kyoto (during Gion Matsuri), walking through part of Nakasendo way, Hakone and Tokyo.

I was thinking that I would love to purchase local clothing, because they are probably more comfortable and adequate for Japanese Summer weather.

My plan is to wear it when hiking through nakasendo, during festival or in historical/religion places like Himeji or Itsukushima, but I don't want to be disrepectful nor be pointed out. (OFC in cities like tokyo I plan my regular "european" fit)

Can you recommend if that idea makes sense and give me thoughts on what would be the best fit?
