Hello! I've recently discovered this subreddit and having come across some posts where people describe how they approach their own psyche through political analogy, I decided to share mine of the same sort. Here is a breakdown of my Psychopolity:
After the disintegration of the traditionalist theocratic Catholic Order towards the close of my eighteenth age (est. in the fifteenth age), the Secularist Consensus led by the Secular Humanist Movement was established. Two parties emerged out of the Movement: the Epicureans and the Stoicists. In the present day of the twenty second age, the parties to the Consensus are the following:
Epicureans
The Epicureans prioritise a moderated pursuit of personal enjoyment and avoidance of pain, to the satisfaction of an equilibrium between concerns of internal psychic and external domestic tranquility.
Stoicists
The Stoicists prioritise the recognition of one's own limits and personal virtuous living, to the protection of internal psychic and external domestic security.
Activists
The Activists prioritise taking up external collective socio-political and economic action, aimed at transformation both external and internal; no matter the scope of effect and trumping the concerns of internal psychic and external domestic tranquility and security. They accuse the Epicurean-Stoicist status-quo of quietist inwardism.
Admitted into the Consensus only later on, the Activists envision the establishment of single-party Activist government and by consequence the ultimate abolition of this so-called bourgeois system and eventually of the entire Psychopolitical apparatus.
Outside of the governing Consensus, there are the Metaphysicist and the Hedonist factions:
Metaphysicists
Remnants of the old Catholic Order have been largely subsumed within this faction; which is characterised by Perennialist, Neo-Platonist, Neo-Traditionalist, and Reformist Islamic world-views varying in emphasis between various groups within.
The progressive wing of Metaphysicists lie in a grey area between the broader Metaphysicist faction and the Secular Consensus, depending on the flavouring. Mythologists, which may or may not constitute a group of progressive Metaphysicists, are more closely aligned with the Consensus.
Hedonists
Hedonists espouse an absurdist post-modernist view of life that prioritises the quest of personal pleasure at the expense of all other concerns. They come at odds with both the Activists and the Metaphysicists due to their egoism.
