Topirimate & Birth Control
hello everyone! after a year and a half on Acetazolamide my neuro is recommending I try topirimate instead.
i need to be on a reliable form of birth control in order to be prescribed them.
when initially diagnosed with IIH I was on rigevidon pill, which I was told to come off of.
shortly after that I tried the progesterone only pill - slynd. I had really bad headaches when taking this so again was told to come off of it.
i don’t want to try to coil or implant, so do you think it’s worth me trying a different pill and seeing if it effects my head or not? or will they all flare my head up?
Ive noticed my IIH headaches are worse during ovulation and when I’m due on my period, so I definitely think hormonal fluctuations affect my head. but will the pill make this worse or better?
any advice would be great!
