Get the surgery or wait it out? 16 days post MTX
I was given methotrexate for my ectopic about two weeks ago and my levels have been dropping pretty well. Last Thursday I had intense pain and clotting that drove me to go back to the ER. I followed up with my OB for ultrasounds and more blood testing, the pain has definitely settled down, but is still constant, worse at night with added pressure when I pee or use the bathroom. I had hella anxiety this weekend and went back to the ER for another opinion. The mass is getting smaller, but my OB said not quite at the pace they like to see. She has offered surgery as an option or we can continue to wait and see and follow up with another ultrasound in a week. Part of me wants to just do the surgery to ease the anxiety of a potential rupture and start to move beyond this. Would love some thoughts and experiences of folks who have had surgery without rupture, or those who have had lower hcg levels with mass still decently sized
