My husband and I plan to do IVF this year and we are deciding on an egg donor through our clinic and one donor meets everything that we are looking for. There is something that was in her profile that stood out to me though. It was reported thar her father has a history of manic depression (bipolar disorder). Is this something that should raise a big red flag? I did ask our counselor and she said
“It was something that was reported during her Psychological Screening. She has not been diagnosed with any mental health or mood disorders per her reporting. The only family member reported with mental health concerns was her Father per the Psychological Report they mentioned "No other instances of these issues were reported within two generations".”
We are new to this process and have been looking for 2 months now. I have had 3 donors catch my eye and the other 2 have been taken but she has consistently been my number one. I get a very good vibe/feeling when viewing her profile.
