34F | EST | Weekly productivity update

Hello! I have ADHD and I’m looking for help staying on track with my goals. Please only someone who is 30 and up, preferably even 35 and up.

>I just started a new job and while I’m motivated for now I know as soon as it stops being new I’m going to start fading. It’s not a job I love but it’s significantly better than the last job I had.

>I need motivation to keep writing (I want to be an author) and to keep applying for other jobs so I can leave this one instead of getting stuck here. (Edited to remove unnecessary detail)

>I need someone to help me decide on goals for the week and check in next week to see how I did. For example this week I want to apply for jobs at three companies. I need someone to say “did you apply? How did it go? Does this seem like a job you would really be interested in?”

So main goals are
-keep applying for other jobs
-staying encouraged
-writing my books

Requesting
-30+
-Eastern Standard Time
-weekly check ins.

Thank you!

Three Days In and I Hate It

So I got a job with a small local company and as the title implies I kind of hate it.

-The customers occasionally scream at us (fair enough it’s customer service) but the boss is constantly screaming about how much the customers suck.

-That aside I don’t think I’m cut out for insurance. I could fake it for a few months, learn the ropes and I’ll probably be fine (and not get fired) but I can tell it’s just not my thing. I’m not sure if it’s just this place or the entire industry.

-Would I be destroying my insurance career if I just never came back Monday (technically I haven’t even signed any official paperwork and I haven’t been paid so do I even work there?)

-Still I’ve been unemployed for a year. Maybe I should just stick to a meh job until I can find something better.

-idk 🤷🏾‍♀️it’s Reddit and anonymous, give me your honest brutally opinion. Am I being stupid for wanting to quit?
