I inherited these cufflinks from my father, but what does this symbol mean?
Trying again in this subreddit after my original post.
I inherited these cufflinks from my father, who sadly passed away in 2005. My brother is getting married soon, and we would love for him to wear something from our dad on his big day. Unfortunately, we don't know what the symbol on the cufflinks represents.
I've reached out to the company Sporrong (the brand name on the back), but haven't heard back yet.
Here is some background info on my dad that might help:
He was Dutch and lived from 1949 till 2005.
He was Catholic.
He worked as a banker his whole life.
He was not in the army.
Our family back in the day were tulip farmers.
He was a member of the student fraternity 'Het Corps' in Delft.
