A couple days ago I was hanging out by one of my favorite trees near my house when this pinecone-looking fruit randomly fell nearby.
A few days later, I found it again with these bright red seeds coming out of it. Curiosity took over. I discovered the tree I was under was a ficus, but the fruit actually belonged to a nearby magnolia—so I’m guessing a squirrel or another animal dropped it there.
I decided to collect the seeds and try germinating them. I placed them in a bowl of water, left them alone, and hours later came back to find them arranged like this.
I know water movement, buoyancy, or pure coincidence could explain it. But the shape caught my attention.
Does it resemble any historical symbol, rune, glyph, petroglyph, astronomical pattern, or something from an ancient tradition? Try rotating it too.
And if you were me, where would you go from here? What would you research, and what rabbit holes or doors could this potentially open?

Hey guys! Super weird. Found this necklace on my floor, and have never seen it before. Neither have any of my family members or friends. If anyone could identify what this may mean or what it is, please let me know!

I know it’s a moth, presumably a death head moth of Silence of the Lambs fame. Can anyone tell me anything more specific about this species or the symbolic meaning of its presence? Or any information at all about any of the symbolism in its design or anything else? Much appreciated.

Heya - I found this metal card on the street by my flat in East London. Any ideas what it could be from?

To me it kinda looks like black metal logo art, so perhaps it’s from a band or something similar? The ‘IV’ motif is maybe a code? I got no idea.

The ‘face’ on the front looks kinda extraterrestrial, but again, I’m not really sure what I’m looking at.

I found these symbols in Gimli Manitoba Canada at the end of the pier. Gimli has Icelandic heritage and I would like to know if this could be religious symbolism. If this is the wrong place to ask I apologize in advance.

As I said, I'm quite sure I have already seen this symbol in different contexts: tv series, fantasy stuff and so on (I can't quite remember where tho).

Today I think I found it on an earring, I tried to search it up and it mainly says it's a "Yaz" from the Berber Alphabet, the problem is that I found a lot of similar variants even in alchemy and Norse symbology.

Can anyone help me out please?

I’ve been trying to unpack the meaning of the astrological symbols on a more granular level. There’s a shared language of circles, crosses, and curves across the symbols, but the arrow always struck me as a little “clip art” coded on the Mars symbol (I’m aware this is the traditional way it was drawn, but see The Tiffany Problem). Sagittarius suffers from this problem as will imo, but as Sag literally represents a bow and arrow I’m more inclined to accept it as is.

I’m curious what y’all think about swapping the arrow for a lightning bolt. Does this change the core meaning of this symbol? Or does it effectively capture the same spirit. How much overlap is there on a Venn Diagram with Lightning Bolt on one side and Arrow on the other?

For that matter, does Mars need to be angled to the right? Or can it point straight up without changing meaning? Uranus is sometimes drawn this way (circle with dot in the center, with straight up arrow on top) but to me the point in the center of the circle is what differentiates Uranus and Mars more-so than the angle of the arrow.

Very curious to hear y’all’s thoughts on this.
