The dealership has finally provided me with an update. It turns out that the cylinder heads need replacing. I am extremely grateful that everything is covered under the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) warranty. My question is: should I consider trading my X3 since my warranty expires in October? I understand that BMW maintenance can be expensive, and my vehicle currently has 80,000 miles on it.
Two years ago, I purchased my beloved 2022 X3 30i. While it may not be anything extraordinary, this car has meant everything to me. Last week, as I was leaving work, an alarming message appeared on the dashboard: “Stop vehicle carefully and shut off engine.” My X3 has 80,000 miles on it, and I make sure to have it serviced routinely and on time.
I called Roadside Assistance to have it towed to the nearest authorized BMW dealer, and fortunately, I didn't have to pay a deductible. To my surprise, I remembered that I had added the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) warranty when I purchased the vehicle, which expires on October 26.
Now, I'm wondering what my options are and how much this might set me back. I love my X3.
