Trick to fix sleep hours
Hello everyone!
I recently downloaded an app called Digital detox. I was and am struggling with my life a bit with constant distractions. Usually I will stay awake late into the night and then wake up late in the morning, all because i couldn't let go of my phone. Which leads to being unproductive the next day plus feeling lethargic not wanting to move or work was common.
So I decided to apply 80/20 rule in my life and fix just one area of life which was sleep for me, that's when i discovered this app and wanted to share my experience for those who might be struggling as me.
You can schedule a detox "once" in this app, i did it for 10 pm to 7 am everyday. This is automatically led to my phone going off ( not switch off but like I can't use any apps or access my phone) at 10 everyday which automatically fixed my sleep hours , it kind of made me helpless, without access to a device you can either read, journal or just go to sleep.
With fixed sleep timing i naturally woke up earlier and drowsiness and the urge of wanting to go back to bed disappeared. I woke up fresh more happy and mindful for the next day.
I thought it was a very simple yet powerful trick, once you fix your sleep hours, life starts falling in place again or atleast it makes you mindful and active enough to bring change.
That's why I wanted to share it here for anyone struggling, give it a try, see if it works for you.
(My tip:
1.Those who have multiple devices like tab or laptop , make sure not to use them after the phone access is denied, or if you struggle with willpower you can install the app in those devices too...
- Schedule it once and forget about it so you don't have to fight with yourself everyday and use your willpower, it will reduce decision fatigue)
