Does a push clip with a hook exist for car trunks? (see photo)
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a specific car part/accessory, but I have no idea what it’s called or if it even exists.
In my trunk (Toyota RAV 4 2019), there’s a standard plastic push clip (see the photo, circled in red). Right now, I use it to secure the protective cover I have for my dogs, but it’s pretty inconvenient. Every time I want to remove it (for cleaning or when I don’t need it), I have to take out the clip, tuck the cover behind it, and then push the clip back in.
What I’m really looking for is something like the item in the bottom-right of the image:
a kind of push clip that clicks into the same hole, but with a hook on it so I can easily hang something from it. It doesn’t need to support any weight — it’s just to keep the flap in place.
So instead of constantly removing the clip, I could just hook and unhook the cover quickly.
I’ve seen some other clips that might work (like the clip used to hold the hood support rod), but I’d prefer a push clip that’s easy to remove and not permanent.
My questions:
- Does something like this exist?
- If so, what is it called?
- Or does anyone have a good alternative solution?
