I’ve tried growing java moss I got from petsmart but it never came back from being dry and brown and i’ve had taiwan moss in my tank since June it hasn’t/has barely grown and hasn’t attached its self to the gravel at all. I have a ten gallon with neocaradina shrimp and 4 endlers that’s been staying at around 78 degrees f cause of the heat. I alr have frogbit so I wouldn’t want another floating plant unless it would do well being weighed down or something.
