My old folks have a Thinkpad X270 with Windows 10 Home installed, and I want to change the OS to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (so they won't have to fork over cash for a new laptop can run Windows 11), how do I go about this?
The X270 has Windows 10 Home installed, and my folks don't have the cash for a new PC/laptop that can officially run Windows 11, now that official support by Microsoft for Windows 10 has ended.
I've heard that a user can change the OS from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 IoT Enteprise LTSC (the one that's supported until 2032) by "editing the registry" or something like it, but I'm not confident in doing it myself.
Can anyone give me a list of things to do so I can do this properly and not brick said Thinkpad X270? Do I still need to buy a license key when I do the change? Thanks.
