Swamp Thing is basically a scientist who turns into a plant monster (well technically a plant monster that erroneously thinks it used to be a scientist until he merged consciousness/minds/souls with said scientist, but for simplicity's sake let's go with "a scientist who turns into a plant monster"). How would you go about making a character that is heavily inspired by that?

What about the Incredible Hulk? Would they be a werewolf? How do you keep them as a scientist then? A fomori? How are they a protagonist then?

If you don't like superheroes, even horror based superheroes in World of Darkness, this question is not for you. Don't whine about it or you will be blocked.

The Sleeping Lord

"Once, they say, he was a Verbena or some other nature mage. Cursed into an eternal slumber, he became one with the forest, sinking his roots into the ground and blossoming into occasional eruptions wherever Stasis takes hold too deeply. In the many, many years since then, the Sleeping Lord has occasionally appeared: a comatose Green Man whose dreams send forth tendrils, roots, and flowers. Yet despite that apparently peaceful demeanor, the Sleeping Lord embodies the implacable surge of Nature. When he manifests, plants burst through sidewalks and walls; trees erupt through houses within minutes or even seconds; foundations and bridges break apart under the strain of sudden erosion and restless roots. So the question would then become "how would anyone make this playable"? Can you make a toned down non-mad version?

Really great suggestions so far everyone! I particularly liked the Promethean and Geist ideas. I can't believe I didn't even think about them.

I have an idea for a character who uses the dual affiliation to be a trained progenitor who is becoming a dreamspeaker (seeing themselves as the ultimate medicine worker). I would like them to have the Totem merit as well, with the Raven Totem.

The problem with that is I am having trouble figuring out how they would afford to do scientific research (or even have a lab) with Raven's ban. Does anyone here have any thoughts on how to make it work? I'm wanting to make a bio technoshaman sort of character who tries to reform the progenitors from within (and if that fails, bring spirit magic or at least a sense of wonder into the public consensus).

Edit: Here is Raven's ban as per the Mage20 Book of Secrets: Bans: Raven-people aren’t expected to place much stock in earthly goods, properties or concerns. Wealth is to be avoided unless it involves knowledge, secrets, or shiny things.
