Job opportunity- Sat mornings

APPLICATIONS CLOSED at the moment! Thanks ya’ll

Hey y’all, I know there’s often people looking for work so I figured I’d “cross post” a job opportunity from IG.

Yawning Bear Bread is looking for market assistant(s) for Saturday morning farmers markets. Hours are typically 6am- 1pm because you package the bread before going to market.

-are you chill?
-do you love bread?
-do you tolerate the general public?
-do you have a large car good for hauling bread?
-are you reliable?
-do you want a super nice boss?
-can you lift ~50ish lbs

Then go check out yawning bears IG story and message her!

I am not the owner/boss lol

THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HAS APPLIED! Liz’s inbox is full and she is not accepting new applications right now. She needs to sort through everything.

How to avoid Spotted Lanternfly / Honeydew honey?

Last year I had my first harvest and all of my honey was spotted lanternfly/honeydew honey. It is dark and Smokey flavored, and SLF took over our area last year so it checks out.

My hive died, and I’m getting a new one soon. Is there any way to avoid having all the honey “tainted” in this way? I know it’s fine to eat, it’s just a very particular flavor that’s not universally beloved.

I’m in central Ohio
